About Maureen Gicharu

Maurina Homecare Agency was founded from a place of deep compassion and personal experience. When our founder's beloved grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, the family struggled to understand the condition, at a time when few resources or guidance were available. That experience inspired a lifelong mission to bring awareness, support, and quality care to families facing similar challenges. Driven by that passion, our founder returned to school, became a Nurse Practitioner, and established Maurina Homecare Agency in honor of her grandmother and father's legacy.

As a veteran-owned and inspired agency, we believe in honoring and serving our veterans and seniors with dignity, respect, and compassion. Our mission is to help families navigate care with confidence, providing skilled, personalized support that allows loved ones to thrive safely at home. At Maurina, we believe in more than care. We believe in connection, legacy, and empowering families through awareness and education.
