About Derek Chard

I currently own a home in unincorporated Cobb right on the Smyrna/Marietta border with my fiancée Amanda. I have lived in Georgia for just over 7 years now. I am originally from Burlington, CT where most of my family still resides. I attended the University of Connecticut where I studied Finance and played D1 football. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree and was part of two Big East Championship winning football teams. I went on to make an attempt at the NFL by attending two NFL camps with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NY Jets. I have also been a fully licensed financial advisor with Merrill Lynch.

For the majority of my career, I have been a business owner in the direct sales industry. For ten years I led teams of salespeople representing Fortune 500 companies and their products and services. In late 2020 I transitioned my business into the merchant services industry and have been building that business ever since. I love working with other business owners and entrepreneurs and take great pride in being a trusted partner of their business.
